Are you looking for a captivating and inspiring speaker for your camera club or group? My dynamic photography talks are designed to entertain, educate, and ignite creativity.

With experience speaking to audiences ranging from 30 to 130 people, I usually deliver two one-hour sessions with a 15-minute break in between. My talks are packed with insights on developing a unique photographic style, staying creatively inspired, and refining technical skills. I share real-world experiences, practical tips, and stunning imagery to captivate and motivate photographers of all levels.

My presentations are designed to be interactive, fun, and full of useful takeaways whether delivered in person or via Zoom. Clubs often invite me back for repeat talks, and my sessions are frequently described as both memorable and entertaining.

Painting with Light: A Photographer’s Evolution

With 40 years of portrait photography behind me, I’ll take you on a journey through my evolving vision – shaped first by my early career as a BBC cameraman and lighting director, and more recently by the dramatic influences of Caravaggio and Edward Hopper. From television studios to fine art inspirations, this talk will explore how light, shadow, and storytelling have defined my work. Expect an engaging, fun, and thought-provoking session filled with insights, stunning imagery, and creative takeaways.

Pricing

I offer evening talks for camera clubs and non-profit organisations at a rate of £150 plus travel expenses at £0.45 per mile. If the venue is more than a two-hour drive from BS28 4EY or requires a late return home (after midnight), overnight accommodation may also be required.

For virtual presentations, my Zoom talks are £150 and delivered in high resolution using Zoom Professional. Clubs also have the option to request a recording, which is available exclusively to members for up to one month.

Additionally, I provide hands-on practical sessions, including a live demonstration shoot with a model, followed by an editing workshop. Pricing and details are available upon request.
