These photographs were taken by me at the end of May, at three of our shoot locations. I used flash and continuous light and we will use that same combination on the workshop.

Lighting kit

I will supply all of the lighting equipment used in the workshop. We will be using both flash and continuous lighting kits throughout the 5 days of shooting. The flash equipment we will use is the AD200 and AD400 by Godox, with dedicated triggers supplied as required. The battery-powered continuous lighting we will use is the Sirui C150x and the Amaran 200Xs. All the lights take the Bowens system and we will have a barn door set with Scattergels, A fresnel attachment, a 21cm reflector and grid set, and a 40cm octagonal softbox with a diffuser and grid.

This is Susanna Fusari. Susanna will be with us for the first three days of the workshop

This is Morgana Balzarotti. Morgana will be with us for the last two days of the workshop

Camera kit

Any digital camera system with lenses (FF equivalent) covering 24mm to 85mm will be perfect for this event. Mirrorless systems are advantageous and so to are IBIS and OIS.

For your information, I will be using a Fujifilm GFX100ll with 30mm, 45mm, 55mm and 110mm lenses. My camera will be on a tripod most of the time. Not for the necessity of avoiding camera shake because I have IBIS for that, but to aid in the teaching process. It is easier for you to see the lighting adjustments that I am making in real time on the LCD of my camera. There will be no need for you to use a tripod to capture the images we create. In fact, you will probably find it easier to work hand held and you will get more variety of images too.

Our Hotel

Masseria Fontana di Vite is a former Mansion house converted into a boutique hotel located on a hill overlooking Matera. The mansion welcomes you in a splendid rural setting. Surrounded by golden fields of grain and a natural olive grove adjacent to a spring that hides a very ancient history about the beneficial properties of Fontana di Vite, the fountain of life. All the rooms have en-suite facilities.

The small print/ cancellation policy

Should you cancel your place on this event for any reason, no refund will be available unless your place is resold. If you need to cancel your booking please contact me by phone, WhatsApp, or email as soon as possible. I will run a waiting list for this event, so places are likely to resell, but no guarantees can be given. If your place is resold, I will, of course, give you a full refund. I also reserve the right to cancel any workshop if there is insufficient demand, especially if it means that my costs would be higher than my income. In that circumstance, you will of course receive a full refund of any monies paid.

Some costs for each training event remain the same regardless of how many attendees there are, just like any pre-booked tickets for the theatre, concert, flights, etc. I am therefore unable to give a full refund in the event of non-attendance, regardless of the circumstance.

Please note that I cannot be liable for any other costs incurred by you, so please check with me before booking any non-refundable accommodation or transport.

Please take a look at my full terms and conditions.
